Black & White

Black & White is a legendary and globally loved blended Scotch whisky, first created in 1884 by James Buchanan, a passionate dog lover and pioneering Glasgow whisky merchant. Originally named 'Buchanan's Blend', it was bottled in distinctive black bottles with a simple white label; customers began asking for the 'black and white' whisky, prompting Buchanan to officially rename the brand. He also introduced the iconic mascots — a black Scottish Terrier and a white West Highland White Terrier — symbolizing the perfect, friendly, and accessible balance of the blend. Matured in seasoned oak barrels, this classic Scotch combines a high proportion of premium Speyside grain whiskies with select matured single malts (including Dalwhinnie, Clynelish, and Glendullan). This yields a remarkably light, smooth, and fruit-forward profile famed for its creamy honey sweetness, vanilla oak, and fresh green apples.
