Nikka Whisky is one of Japan's most prestigious and historic whisky producers, globally celebrated for its exceptional quality, traditional craftsmanship, and pioneering spirit. Founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru — widely revered as the 'Father of Japanese Whisky' — the brand represents a lifelong pursuit of producing authentic, peat-influenced Scotch-style whiskies in Japan. Masataka established the iconic Yoichi Distillery in the cold, maritime climate of Hokkaido, which closely mirrored the Scottish Highlands, utilizing traditional coal-fired pot stills to craft rich, robust, and smoky malts.
