Amarula Cream Liqueur is an award-winning, exceptionally smooth South African cream liqueur made from the fruit of the wild marula tree. Hand-harvested by local communities in the warm plains of Phalaborwa, the fresh fruit is fermented and double-distilled into a clear marula spirit. This spirit is matured in French oak casks for two years to inherit warming woody characters of vanilla and soft toast, and is then blended with fresh, velvet-textured dairy cream. The result is a delightfully light, fruit-driven cream liqueur with rich flavours of butterscotch, caramel, milk chocolate, and the unique, slightly nutty flavor of ripe marula fruit. Best enjoyed chilled over ice, in coffee, or drizzled over vanilla ice cream.
