Aberlour 12 Year Old is a benchmark double-cask matured Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, representing the signature richness of the Aberlour distillery. The new-make spirit is matured in two distinct cask types parallelly — traditional American oak ex-bourbon barrels and Spanish Oloroso sherry butts — for a minimum of 12 years before being skillfully blended together. This dual aging yields a deeply complex, round, and balanced character. On the nose, it offers sweet citrus fruits and rich sherry sweetness. The palate is treated to a luxurious combination of fresh red apples, spiced ginger, clove, and creamy vanilla fudge, followed by a warm, lingering finish of toasted oak and sweet fruits.
