Nikka Whisky From The Barrel is a legendary, award-winning Japanese blended whisky that demonstrates the incredible wood-marriage and blending artistry of the Nikka distillers. Marrying more than 100 individual batches of malt and grain whiskies produced at the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, the blend is re-casked in seasoned oak barrels for several months to harmonize. It is bottled straight 'from the barrel' at a robust cask-strength of 51.4% ABV, preserving its full-bodied richness and sensory depth. Pours a natural deep gold-bronze color. The nose is highly expressive and complex, presenting rich aromas of sweet candied orange peel, toasted oak wood, warm honey, cloves, and fresh yellow plums. On the palate, it delivers a massive, velvety-smooth mouthfeel filled with delicious flavors of dark chocolate, sweet winter spices, rich vanilla fudge, and a subtle whisper of coastal peat smoke, leading into a spectacularly long, warming, and spicy oak finish. It is famously packaged in an iconic, minimalist square glass bottle designed by graphic designer Taku Satoh to resemble a small block of whisky.
