Solan Number One Black

Solan No. 1 Black is an elevated, premium expression of the classic Solan No. 1 blended Indian whisky, crafted by Mohan Meakin at the historic Kasauli Distillery in the Himalayas—one of the oldest operating distilleries in Asia. Distilled using traditional copper pot stills and pristine Himalayan spring water, Solan No. 1 Black features a higher proportion of matured malt spirits blended with premium grain spirits. It presents a rich golden amber color in the glass, with a fragrant nose showing warm caramel, toasted cereal grains, fresh peat wood, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is remarkably smooth and medium-bodied, unfolding with sweet honeyed malt, mellow oak spice, and a touch of orchard fruits, culminating in a clean, balanced, and warming finish.
